I am not a fan of Spring. I mean, I’m happy that winter has come to a close but it’s so irritating trying to choose what to wear to suit the manic weather. Put on a coat and you’re too warm all day. Leave your coat at home and freeze in the evening. Ugh. I’m already sick of the black jeans + chambray +booties/light layers outfit that’s quickly become my Spring staple. I need some new looks, and I’m not interested in buying all new duds. So, time to edit my closet to suit my style and the weather.
Here are five of my favourite looks for Spring:
Black and white always, regardless of season. I love this outfit for looking put together, with the bare minimum of effort. I’d pair it with my grey shawl that is basically an enormous blanket with fringe, perfect for draping or bundling to suit the temp.
My heaviest knits are stored away, but I’m keeping the lighter blends out for Spring. I also own a few black leather skirts that need to see some action soon, but only if it gets warm enough for bare legs. I’m talking 20 degrees Celsius, minimum.
White jeans! I’ve been waiting months to bust out my pair and it’s finally reached that passable time in the season. With a light t-shirt and a cozy cardigan, plus my favourite kicked-to-shit ankle boots, this will easily be my go-to outfit for spring.
Two things I love to wear: long open knits and high-necked tops and dresses. Bare legs are totally acceptable with long hemlines all year long ,as far as I’m concerned. I am also smitten with cream this season, which is a little dangerous being that I’m kind of a klutz.
More heather gray! More long knits! I love every element in this outfit – total comfort and super cute.
I’m all about versatility and wearability, clearly as most of these outfits have interchangeable elements. Here’s to zero outfit stress this season.
